On ne frappe pas un homme à terre : c'est ce que dit la règle mais NONE a déjà prouvé qu'il ne les suivait pas et si son album éponyme retirait toute perspective de béatitude spirituelle, Life has gone on long enough, son deuxième opus, nous interdit l'accès au bonheur terrestre. La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. Les cris partent en fumées : ne restent que les pleurs...

Quel que soit le genre abordé, Saman Nu ne se contente jamais d'une seule couleur. Il utilise les mêmes pinceaux sur Silent Path que sur Ekove Efrits avec une pallette beaucoup moins flamboyante, toute en nuances de noirs. Si Mourner Portraits respecte avec talent les codes du black metal dépressif (avec guitares répétitives lancinantes et tempo lent), ce sont les atmosphères qui sont encore une fois le vrai point fort, véhiculant désespoir total voire pures visions d'horreurs liées à la guerre.

It fascinates me, that all those people here came for exact the same thing which waits patently in this album. We have no clue about, what happended to all the others during their lives, but everyone has his very own and specific connection to this. And thats why we gather here. I like how the whole album goes through all those topics, without sounding pathetic. It sounds authentic - something I can´t really say about other encounter in this genre.
